Amazing, fantastic, wonderful, emotional, uplifting! These are just a few of the words that can be used to describe our inaugural Starlight ball at The Dunchurch Park Hotel on Saturday 5th December.
We had already been overwhelmed with the generosity of so many businesses and individuals who donated auction and raffle items including likes of Sir Richard Branson, Kate Winslet and Jason Atherton. But, we were completely bowled over by the amount raised on the evening which was approximately £15,000.
Despite being a very difficult time of year for Freddie’s family (the 7th is the anniversary of his accident and the 10th is when he passed away), the spirit of Freddie ensured that everyone had a fun evening.
The feedback we’ve received from our 225 guests has been glowing and a lot of people are asking when the next one is (we’ll need to lie down in a darkened room for a while before commit!)
We were also thrilled to sign up some new recruits for #teamfreddie for our planned skydive, Wolf Run and Great South Run events in 2016.
We all need nights like this to remind us that the majority of people in this world are kind, compassionate and caring. Thanks so much to everyone who contributed so generously, we really appreciate it.
Until next year (perhaps!) 🙂
