Seven #teamfreddie runners took part in Sunday’s Great South Run and, I’m delighted to say, they all made it round in one piece!
It was such an uplifting day and we were blessed with beautiful weather which meant that there were lots of supporters cheering us on on the streets of Portsmouth and Southsea.
Special thanks go to #teamfreddie members – Grant Knight, Jo Crosthwaite, Andy Horne, Alex Kercher, Annabel Jolliffe, Jill Jolliffe and Steve Jolliffe.
Our Freddie’s Wish running vests drew a lot of attention including from 2 ladies who have kindly asked if they can represent our trust at next years event. We feel very honoured about this and would love to have a few more new recruits to join them so please let us know if you’re interested in taking part by emailing hello@freddieswish.org
We also had a transatlantic version of the Great Run taking place on the same day in New Jersey, USA where another group of #teamfreddie runners ran the same distance and raised lots of money for our cause. We are really grateful to Sarah Barber, Martin Barber, Abigail Knight, Danielle Nugent and Julie Tepper (sorry if I have missed a few others).
Freddie even got to have his own gnome on the Columbia Trail. We’re hoping to get to meet Freddie the Gnome one day soon
Thanks to everyone, on both sides of the pond, who has sponsored us so far. Please follow this link https://www.justgiving.com/FreddieFox23 if you would still like to donate
On to final planning for the ball now. We still have tickets available at £40 each (including pre-dinner drink, 3 course meal and half a bottle of wine) so please let us know if you would like to join us in Dunchurch, Warwickshire on Saturday 5 December 2015. Hope to see you there 🙂
