On 23rd April 2017, Freddie’s Grandad Steve will be taking on the challenge of the 2017 London Marathon to raise funds for the Air Ambulance. It will be his first marathon at the grand old age of 54 years and 360 days!
As many of you know, the Air Ambulance is one of the charities that Freddie’s Wish support and I’m delighted to say that they are happy for my Dad, Steve, to wear his Freddie’s Wish running vest on the day so our little man will, hopefully, carry his Grandad round the arduous course.
On the day of Freddie’s accident in December 2014, the Air Ambulance did everything they could to try and save him and, although they were sadly unable to do so, our family will always be eternally grateful to them that they gave us the time to say our goodbyes to a very special little boy.
I’m sure Freddie will be super proud of his Grandad for taking on this challenge.
