What an amazing achievement! Freddie’s Grandad, Steve, completed his first marathon in 5 hours 19 mins and 27 secs (to be precise!) just 5 days before his 55th Birthday!
He was raising funds for the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance, however, they kindly allowed him to wear his Freddie’s Wish vest. There is no doubt that Freddie carried him round on the day. We saw him at 3 different points on the course and he was smiling at all of them, even at 24 miles!
Steve is delighted to have raised in excess of £4.5k for Air Ambulance and has already submitted his ballot application for next year’s race……..he must be mad!
