Starlight Ball 2019- Our best one yet!!

Wow, what a night!!

350 of you joined us to celebrate Freddie’s life and his legacy and we certainly had the best birthday party we could have had for him!

Thank you so much to each and every one of you who attended and helped us to raise an incredible £17,500!!

We are so overwhelmed, this is the most we have ever raised at one of our balls, so thank you! It will go a long way to helping us to achieving our aims and making a huge difference to bereaved families across Warwickshire.

I thought that I would share with you some of the incredible statistics that I shared on the night about how far we have come in the last 5 years and what we have achieved since our last ball:

• We have now raised just shy of £145,000, which is truly amazing!
• We have trained 650 people in paediatric first aid, enabling them to have the skills to save their child’s life should they need to.
• We have set up a bereavement support service that is delivered by Child Bereavement UK for parents that have been affected by pregnancy loss, baby loss and child loss up to the age of 25.
• So far we have supported 4 grieving families through our bereavement support service.
• We are part of the baby loss awareness week committee locally.
• We have given £10,000 to The Good Grief Trust to fund their Good Grief Pop up Cafes nationally.
• We are proud to be part of National Grief Awareness Week from 2nd- 8th December 2019, to encourage us all to open up to grief.
• We are part of the National Bereavement APPG in Parliament.
• We have funded many wonderful charity beneficiaries, one being our local air ambulance whom we have recently given £15,000 to help to train all the paramedics to be critical care paramedics, so that they can provide the best possible treatment at the roadside.

I cannot thank you all enough for helping me to have achieved what I set out to, when I stood at the first ball in 2015 this was all a pipe dream. We have created an incredible legacy for Freddie and I am proud to say we have impacted so many peoples lives for the better because of it. So truly thank you from the bottom of my heart as I couldn’t have achieved any of this without your support!
